Our business is Laptop repairs / Notebook repair.

We have been doing laptop repairs on hardware and software problems in Melbourne city for over 15 years.

We repair ALL brands including Acer, Asus, Dell, HP / Compaq, IBM, ITC, NEC, Packard Bell, Toshiba, Fujitsu.

We do laptop repair in-house and our Factory trained technician has 15 years experience repairing laptop computers.

From Jan 1 2009, All Laptop repairs reduced to $88 per hour.

MAXIMUM 2 HOURS LABOUR CHARGE ($ 176)

Most laptop repairs take one hour labour - that's only $88!

Part Costs are NOT included, but parts can be supplied by you if you want to source them yourself, we will tell you what parts are needed.

We do not guess price quotes on repairs by phone or email, please bring
your laptop in to us so we can tell you the correct cost to repair it!

What To Do for REPAIRS:
Short version -
Get it in to us and pay $88 for the first hours labour on booking it in.

We will fix it within the first hour of labour in most cases,

or quote parts needed to repair it so you know the total cost before going ahead,
then you pick it up and pay for the second hour and parts if required to do the job,

If you don't want parts to be used to repair the laptop because of any reason,
you just come in and pick it up with no more to pay.

EXPLANATORY VERSION -

Personal Delivery
- Bring Laptop in to shop any time in Business Hrs. 9.30AM to 5.30PM Weekdays Mon-Fri
or Saturday 11.00AM to 1.00PM

We fill in relevant details on our computer to book your laptop into our Service Queue. You do not have to phone us to book it in prior to bringing it in.

We print two copies of our
"Service Repair Authority & Tax Invoice Form"
You Sign both copies and keep one as your pickup authority and Tax Invoice which must be brought in by whoever is to pick up the laptop and pay any balance for the repair.

You will be required to pay the Minimum $88 for the first hour of labour on booking in the laptop. Pay by any means except personal cheque.

We keep one copy with your Laptop for our Technician.

We advise 5 working days for your laptop to get to the top of the queue (typically 3/4 depending on workload) then spend time working on your laptop to determine the fault and repair it.

PRIORITY FEE OPTION: $99 - Immediate Job.
We can start work on your laptop straight away for the optional upfront PRIORITY FEE on booking in.
This PRIORITY FEE IS NON REFUNDABLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! This fee is for working on your laptop immediately and no other reason.

If we find that we are able to repair the laptop with out needing any parts and the cost will be less than 2 Hours work ($88+44+44=$176 or less ) we will do the repair while we have the laptop apart.

We will always Quote any parts for your approval before ordering or fitting to your laptop.

If the laptop needs parts to repair we phone you with the repair cost and you say to repair or not to repair it.

If you say repair it, we do so depending on parts availability. You can also source the parts required by your own means and supply to us for fitment.
We will call you when it is ready to pickup, so bring the "Service Repair Authority & Tax Invoice Form" in with you as this is your official copy for your records.

As you have already paid the Minimum $88 for the first hour labour on booking in the laptop, only the balance of Labour and Parts if any will need to be paid. Maximum labour (2hrs) will be at the cost of $88 Extra if it was required to fix the laptop.

If you say don't repair it because it is uneconomical to do it (e.g. new screen at $1000 for a 4 year old unit worth $500) or any other reason, you bring your "Service Repair Authority & Tax Invoice Form" in to pick it up with no more to pay.

BEFORE you print it out, HAND SIGN the Disclaimer on Terms & CONDITIONS and enclose
in the parcel with the Laptop and EMAIL service@citynoteboookcentre.com.au.

When we receive the laptop it will go in the Service Queue which is usually 3-5 days.

Dong, our Technician, has been repairing in-house all makes and models of Laptop/Notebook Computers for over the last twenty years. Formally trained in Electronics as an Authorised Acer technician, he can repair any Software or Hardware fault with the means available.

Our Laptop Service Agreement allows you to:

Have peace of mind concerning any problem with your Hardware & Software.

You are able to Phone us to discuss Software problems within our normal hours.

Know that you can drop in to our workshop for laptop repair without notice.

Be confident that we will look after you and your needs, even if you caused the problem.

When you have a problem, it probably will not be a warranty problem! *

Then you will be glad you have our help for all of your repairs!

* Manufacturers Warranty only covers parts faulty in manufacture and NOT Software or drivers. Historically, 90% of problems are labour only and would not be covered by Warranty. Please read your manufacturers Warranty documentation to clarify exact conditions.
